GCHS Announcements

  • The following students need to see Ms. Broman following announcements; Savannah Parker, Robbie Beebe, Bailey Cunningham, Aubrey Heupel, Nick Breon, Cole Betts, Emily Hofer, Xavier Hayes, Maddie Sigler, Tieryn Tucker, Logan Brophy, Harper Hyde, Julia Saul, Rod Hogueison, Ethan Hueser, Eddie Goff, Garrett Tasler, Kaitlin Tjostem, Kylie Roach, Mitchell Stevens, Paige Heaning.


    PE waivers for the 2nd trimester can be found by the library.  Turn the completed form into Mr. Phillips.


    Kaitlyn Tjostem and Emily Hofer reminder that you work at ARC today.


    All students should be checking their schedule to make sure you have your classes listed.  All changes MUST be taken care of BEFORE the beginning of the second Trimester. Once the trimester starts only teachers may give approval to drop and add.   Athletes you MUST be in FIVE classes to be eligible.


    Students who have open periods for the second trimester need to see Ms. Broman by Friday otherwise classes will be put in for you.


    Students-Interested in videotaping events at GCHS?  We are looking for responsible students who would be willing to videotape activities for the school to use on the local school channel where it will be viewed by the community.  If interested see Ms. Broman. Volunteer hours could be used for this activity.


    Students planning on taking Stats I  or Comp I second trimester must have an ALEKS or Accuplacer on file to show you have met the ICCC requirements for the class.  Ms. Broman will test tomorrow morning at 9 am and Friday morning at 8:15 and afternoon at 1:00.


    Seniors, the FAFSA filing will be Friday, November 15 starting at 1:20 in the high school office.  If your parent needs help filing and they have not signed up please have them call Ms. Broman as soon as possible. 


    Students, both Greene County and Paton-Churdan, who leave during seminar must have a pass from the office to give to the door monitors otherwise you will be sent to seminar/advisory.

     
    The FFA Meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 14th will be postponed to Tuesday, November 19th at 7:45 am in the Ag Room.

    STUDENTS WHEN YOU ARE HERE FOR MORNING PRACTICES OR WEIGHT LIFTING YOU NEED TO PARK IN THE STUDENT PARKING LOT AND NOT BY THE BUILDING.
    STUDENTS DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS!!  PARK ON THE WHITE ROCK ONLY!!!
     
    Students that need to get their driver's instructional permit are now able to take the test with Charlie here at the high school rather than going up to the courthouse to the transportation department.  If interested please contact Charlie.  
     
    Students, Parents and Guardians are expected to read and be aware of all the contents of the Student-Parent and Athletic Handbooks.  Ignorance of any rules/policies/procedures is not an excuse to not abide by them.  Anti-Bullying/Harassment Information  Board Policies are available in the office. 
     
    Out of season athletes can lift weights at 6:30 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays  
     
    Check your lunch account balances! It is your responsibility to know your account balance and know when you need to add money to your account.  Also, a parent permission slip must be signed before you can have doubles.  If you have questions about whether you can have doubles or not, stop in the office.
     
    NO SCOTCH TAPE TO HANG THINGS ON WINDOWS, DOORS, AND WALLS
     
    Students & Parents:  When items are dropped off in the office, regardless if it is from you as the parent or something being delivered from a gift shop, you need to let your student know to stop in the office to pick it up.  We do our best to notify students when we need them in the office, however, it does get hectic in here and your student may not get notified.

    Blankets, Pillows, and Backpacks are not allowed to be carried around the school.
