  • Taking the April 4 ACT test?  The deadline for registration is Friday, February 28 to avoid late fees.


    Seniors on the jobs bulletin board there is a poster for Tile Flooring Installers.  If interested stop in to apply.


    Seniors graduating at the end of the second trimester need to pick up a check out sheet from Ms. Broman.


    Students start confirming your 3rd-trimester schedule.  Changes must be done by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28.


    NHS members need to turn in your four hours of winter service; Jacob Hanson, Colby Kafer, Kirsten Lamoureux, Nat Payan, Alex Roberts and Josey Weaver.


    Local scholarships that have recently arrived include; The Elks Vocational Grant, Marie Harmon, Raccoon Valley Radio Business and Broadcasting, Mary Fitzgerald for HyVee and Fareway, and the Greene County Medical Center scholarships.  See Ms. Broman about getting an application.   


    The following seniors see Ms. Broman for the Fern Olive Scholarship; Scott Brown, Will Duff, Emily Hofer, and Joe Lehnhoff.


    Juniors and seniors there are a few openings for the Iowa Central Discovery Days in Public Safety, Education-teaching and coaching, and Information Technology.  See Ms. Broman ASAP to register as it fills up fast.


    Juniors, 2nd-hour public speaking has openings if you are looking for a class that hour.


    3rd trimester PE waivers are available by the library.  They are purple and should be turned in to Mr. Phillips.


    A rep from the Iowa Central Community College Dance team will be here on Thursday at 11:00 to visit with interested students.  Sign up in the office and take a teacher permission form to be completed.

     
    9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th-grade girls interested in HTMS and Javascript programming language can attend a free class at the Forge.  Explore how web pages work and learn to code your own with HTMS and Javascript, the fundamental building blocks of the Internet!  Attendees will get to learn from women with careers in software development.  Computers will be provided along with snacks.  Parents/guardians, please arrange to provide transportation for your child both to and from the Forge.  Registration in advance is required, please sign up at jefferson-forge.eventbrite.com.  Email any questions or comments to aj.whatling@accenture.com

    STUDENTS WHEN YOU ARE HERE FOR MORNING PRACTICES OR WEIGHT LIFTING YOU NEED TO PARK IN THE STUDENT PARKING LOT AND NOT BY THE BUILDING.
    STUDENTS DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS!!  PARK ON THE WHITE ROCK ONLY!!!

    Students that need to get their driver's instructional permit are now able to take the test with Charlie here at the high school rather than going up to the courthouse to the transportation department.  If interested please contact Charlie.  

    Students, Parents and Guardians are expected to read and be aware of all the contents of the Student-Parent and Athletic Handbooks.  Ignorance of any rules/policies/procedures is not an excuse to not abide by them.  Anti-Bullying/Harassment Information  Board Policies are available in the office.

    Out of season athletes can lift weights at 6:30 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays  

    Check your lunch account balances! It is your responsibility to know your account balance and know when you need to add money to your account.  Also, a parent permission slip must be signed before you can have doubles.  If you have questions about whether you can have doubles or not, stop in the office.
