Greene County Career Academy Health Care Career Pathway

The Health Care Academy targets students who like to work with people and who have an interest in health-related careers. The coursework is designed to meet the needs of students who learn better when their classroom experiences are connected to “real world” experiences reflecting the career interest of their choice. The Academy offers a rigorous academic program that prepares graduates to enter a technically oriented curriculum in a community college or to enter the workforce after high school. This career pathway also offers students the opportunity to progress into an Apprenticeship, earn as you learn model that places students into business and industry to continue their academic careers at a place of employment.

Apprenticeship: Available after completion of Health Care strand is completed in its entirety.

Certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED, Nurse Aid
