The district will initiate the their mass notification system to contact parents/guardians when necessary. It is important to notify your childs' building office if your contact information (home/cell phone, e-mail, etc.) changes so we are able to notify you.
The following media will be contacted for school cancellations: radio stations KGRA (98.9 FM) and KDLS (1310 AM) in Jefferson, as well as television stations WOI (5), KCCI (8), and WHO (13), and on-line on the district website, Facebook and Twitter.
Patrons should listen to these when weather is inclement. Do not call the administration at home or school. Telephone lines are needed to contact bus drivers, radio stations, cooks, etc. If school is dismissed during the school day, there will be no afternoon pre-kindergarten classes.
