The winter months are the perfect time for your child to cozy up with a good book! Please have your child read every night. Some ways to help your child with reading at home: • Have your child read for 20-30 minutes each night. • Read aloud to your child to spark interest in reading. • Create a special area for your child to read each night. • Ask your child about what they are reading. • Introduce them to all types of reading: • Audiobooks • Magazines • Reading books on technology devices • Take them to the public libraries in our communities. They have great resources for all ages. • Read the book then watch the movie • Be a reading role model for your child.
