Greene County CSD

Yesterday afternoon, sixteen Greene County Elementary fourth graders were presented with brand new bikes in the elementary school gymnasium. The elementary PE class has been working on bike safety this school year, and students have been riding bikes inside the gymnasium and outside on the school grounds. With the help of PE teacher Sean Thompson and elementary principal Audrey Hinote, the school was able to find out which 4th grade students did not have bikes and worked with the community to find bikes for them. The local Kiwanis organization donated twelve new bikes to students and the other four were donated by local community members. Kiwanis members were present during the ceremony to pass out the bikes to the students. Greene County Elementary sends a very sincere thank you to Kiwanis Club of Jefferson and the community members who donated bikes to our elementary students!
