GCMS Student Council is hosting a Glow Dance this Friday, March 22! Doors open at 6:15 and ends at 8:30. $5 admission with $1 glow accessories available for purchase! Casual dressy with school dress code still enforced. Pick up and drop off will be through the front entrance of the building. This dance is for current 5-8 grade GCMS students only.

GCHS will be holding an Academic Awards Assembly on March 20th, 1:55-2:40 p.m. The event will be livestreamed if family and friends would like to watch online. We look forward to recognizing the academic growth and achievements of GCHS students. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKzYaQ3iMDk

Greene County Community School will be holding the monthly board meeting at the admin building (101 Ram Drive, Jefferson, IA) this evening beginning at 5:15 PM. The public is welcome to attend in-person or view the livestream on the district's YouTube channel (see below for the link). This past week, the middle school's sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students dazzled audiences with their spectacular performances in Pirates 1 and 2: The Musical. Their dedication and hard work truly shone through, resulting in an outstanding production. If you missed the live performance or simply want to relive the magic, you're in luck! Cast and Crew spotlights! Students in Mrs. Wright's enrichment class created a way to introduce you to the amazing Cast and Crew of GMCS's Pirates 1 & 2. Reminder you can catch the show Tonight and tomorrow night at 7:00pm in the GCMS auditorium.

Our Cast and Crew were able to do a dress rehearsal of the musical Pirates 1 & 2 for the student body today. You DO NOT want to miss this amazing show with the outstanding talent of our GCMS students! Thursday and Friday Night @ 7:00 in the GCMS auditorium.

Our last Fab Friday occurred in March due to the 6-8th graders going on a ski trip! None the less our "Nacho" Average staff was treated to a nacho bar provided by the following families: Mary Pedersen, Trena Gustoff, Ashley Johnston, Megan Fouch, Omega Sang, Alli Clopton-White, Jeri Hedges. We can't thank all the families who helped make these days happen enough! Our staff is beyond grateful!

Friday our staff was spoiled yet again with some "Sweet Treats"! Thank you to the following families for providing such a delicious treat: Jessi Larson, Tori Gettler, Jessica Woodley.

On Thursday, February 15th, we had our Health Care Career Exploration Camp at the Greene County Career Academy. The youth learned about heart health, CPR, AED use, and hand washing. A big thank you to Greene County Public Health Director Becky Wolf and Public Health Nurse Shelby Cooklin for helping lead this class!
