We went full throwback with Tae Bo Tuesday—channeling our inner Billy Blanks and rocking our best 90’s workout gear 🏋️♀️💪 Windbreakers, headbands, and all the retro vibes!
After working up an appetite, staff enjoyed a “Nacho Average Remix Nacho Bar” 🌮🔥—and WOW, it delivered! Huge shoutout to Casa De Oro for helping us treat our amazing team today.
We’re loving the energy, the outfits, and most of all—celebrating the incredible staff who make our school such a great place every day 💙 Stay tuned… more 90’s fun coming your way!

We kicked things off this morning with a delicious breakfast generously donated by Hy-Vee—a perfect way to fuel our staff for the day! ☕🍩
Staff who opted in also got to relax and recharge with chair massages provided by Soma By Kristal and Dr. Abby from Prime Performance—a well-deserved treat! 💆♀️
A huge THANK YOU to Hy-Vee, Kristal, and Dr. Abby for your generous contributions to our staff—we appreciate your support more than you know! 💜

Our 6th grade team represented GCMS so well at the Battle of the Books yesterday! While we didn’t place high enough to bring home a trophy, they competed right alongside the top half of teams and had an outstanding day. Out of nearly 40 teams, finishing somewhere in the top 6–10 across the three testing rounds is something to be proud of!
Beyond the competition, it was a great experience meeting other teams and seeing their creativity. Most importantly, our students were kind, respectful, and truly represented GCMS in the best way.

On Wednesday, Greene County 5th grade and Paton Churdan 5th grade students attended a program provided by Iowa State Extension at Clover Hall.
For Earth Day, the students learned about many animals, the jobs needed to run a farm, soil erosion, soil composition, soybeans, and cover crops.
