Greene County Community School District will host this year's commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 26, beginning at 2:00. The ceremony is scheduled to be held at Linduska Field, located east of the middle school (101 Ram Drive). If the weather forces the ceremony to be moved, it will be held in the high school auditorium (1901 N. Grimmell Road). The ceremony will be livestreamed on YouTube (link below) and on channel 22/422 for Jefferson Telecom customers. Use the link below to access the YouTube stream.

Greene County High School graduating seniors walked through the elementary and middle school this morning for the annual "Senior Walk". Local business owner, Chad Elliott, attended the 7th grade Basic Music Composition classroom on Friday, May12th. Chad is an artist, singer, songwriter. He shared his personal journey in music with the students. He also shared some of his original works and spoke about the inspiration behind these pieces. Students were able to share some of their own music compositions created from this 9 week class with Chad. Chad also took time to write a song with the students. The topic was one every growing adolescent can relate to...food. We thank Chad for taking time from his busy schedule to visit and inspire young minds in the world of music.
Families of 8th Grade Students: Our 8th grade students have pledged their commitment to education and intend to graduate from Greene County High School! Join us May 25th at 2pm in the High School Auditorium to celebrate these students!
Please join us Monday, May 15, 2023, in the Greene County Middle School Auditorium at 7:00 pm. 5th grade choir students will perform the mini musical "Dig It." We'll travel back in time to the civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Greece with Taki, Tut and Lucy and many more. It will be a fun singing, dancing, and learning experience for all!
6th, 7th, 8th grade students: All Choir students need to report to the GCMS Band Room by 6:15 p.m. Show begins at 6:30 p.m. Thank you!

The Greene County Middle School bands will perform on Thursday, May 18th. The middle jazz band will perform at 6pm, the 6th grade band at 6:30pm, and 7/8 bands at 7pm. Jazz band will perform in the commons and the concert bands will be in the auditorium.

6th-8th Spring Choir Concert: Please join us on May 9, 2023, in the Greene County Middle School Auditorium, at 6:30 pm. Song sets will include Country, Rock, R&B, Broadway and Pop.

Girls golf at Southeast Valley has been cancelled.

Greene County High School's grand march for the 2023 junior-senior prom will be Saturday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The prom theme this year is A Trip to the Tropics. This event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. The doors to the high school will open at 5:30 p.m. Students participating in the grand march are encouraged to park in the north lot and all others in the south lot.
If you are unable to attend, the event will be live streamed on the GCCSD YouTube page (link below) and also on channel 22 and 422 for Jefferson Telecom TV service subscribers. The stream will be live beginning at 5:45 with the ceremony officially starting at 6:00.
