Good afternoon Greene County Families, On Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:00pm in the middle school auditorium, Superintendent Brett Abbotts will provide an informational session followed by an open Q&A period for the school district's proposed renewable energy project. This event will not be livestreamed and information will be immediately available via social media for those who are unable to attend. Included within this email is a letter that was sent to the local media outlets and posted to our social media platforms regarding the district's need and rationale for this project. Good Morning Ram Families, Please mark your calendars for the week of April 1st. 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be taking the ISASP tests (Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress). If at all possible, please avoid scheduling any appointments that week. Please make sure your student gets a good night’s rest, eats a healthy breakfast, arrives to school on time, and brings their fully charged chromebook to school every day. Greene County Schools will have a two hour delay on Friday, March 22. There will be no morning preschool and no morning performance classes.

GCMS Student Council is hosting a Glow Dance Tomorrow Friday, March 22! Doors open at 6:15 and pickup is promptly at 8:30. $5 cash admission with $1 cash glow accessories available for purchase! Casual dressy with school dress code still enforced. Pick up and drop off will be through the front entrance of the building. This dance is for current 5-8 grade GCMS students only.

This past week, the middle school's sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students dazzled audiences with their spectacular performances in Pirates 1 and 2: The Musical. Cast and Crew spotlights! Students in Mrs. Wright's enrichment class created a way to introduce you to the amazing Cast and Crew of GMCS's Pirates 1 & 2. Reminder you can catch the show Tonight and tomorrow night at 7:00pm in the GCMS auditorium.
