ISU student teacher, Johanna Kunert, invited Sara Scharf from Iowa Central to come to her agriculture classes to talk about college. Sara is Director of High School Partnerships and comes to the Greene County Career Academy every other Wednesday afternoon to talk to Greene County High School students, so she is a familiar face with our students.
Ag students in Intro to Ag, Plant Science, and Ag Business learned about picking the right college, types of colleges, and paying for college.


Greene County High School is looking for individuals and businesses to set up a booth during our Career Planning Fair on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 1-4. Greene County Community School District will be live streaming tonight’s Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The official ceremony begins at 6:45 this evening in the high school auditorium. Thanks to a donation from BOOST, the high school music department is now home to a recording and audio mixing studio! Some students have begun learning to use the instruments and software. A few have already starting composing and arranging some great music which we hope to be able to share with the community by the end of the school year.

Greene County Community School District will have a 3-hour early dismissal today. There will be NO evening activities or practices.
The Board of Education meeting will still take place at 5:15pm.
There will be no Student/Staff Recognition during this meeting and it will be arranged separately. Students who are needing their driver's license paperwork signed will be contacted individually to make necessary arrangements.
The buildings will dismiss at the following times:
Elementary: 12:30pm
Middle School: 12:25pm
High School: 12:40pm
