Due to the poor driving conditions, all Greene County schools will be closed for Thursday, January 19th. All morning and evening activities will be canceled.
As a reminder, our maintenance staff would appreciate the time to clear parking lots and pathways at each building.

Greene County Community School District will have a 3-hour early dismissal today. There will be NO evening activities or practices.
The Board of Education meeting will still take place at 5:15pm.
There will be no Student/Staff Recognition during this meeting and it will be arranged separately. Students who are needing their driver's license paperwork signed will be contacted individually to make necessary arrangements.
The buildings will dismiss at the following times:
Elementary: 12:30pm
Middle School: 12:25pm
High School: 12:40pm

Greene County Community School will be holding the monthly board meeting at the admin building (101 Ram Drive, Jefferson, IA) this evening beginning at 5:15 PM. The public is welcome to attend. The event will also be livestreamed on YouTube (link below) and on channel 22/422 for Jefferson Telecom customers.

Greene County School Musicians, Jacob Rumley, Liam Trenary, Natalie Wright, and Mr. Palmer (MS band teacher) played in Tuba Christmas at C.Y. Stephens auditorium on Saturday. Tuba Christmas was comprised of 230 tuba, baritone, euphonium players, and featured an ISU professor tuba solo!
Don't forget! The GCMS grades 5-8 winter concert is tonight at 6:30 in the GCMS auditorium. Come out to support our middle school students and enjoy music that will lift your spirits!

Attention parents of MS/HS band students! Band students should arrive at the HS band room Thursday (10/27) at 6:30 PM. The concert will begin at 7:00. Costumes are optional and should not prevent students from playing their instruments. The 6th, 7th, 8th, and HS bands will perform.
