AREA BUSINESSES: Friday, Aug. 18th, Greene County Schools will welcome back our teachers and staff, starting at 7:30am in the High School. We are requesting community businesses be part of this event. Let's welcome back our teachers and support staff in style!! (Please note this is a staff event only.) Tables will be available for local businesses to set up information about their business, provide free information/handouts to teachers and staff, and show their support for the great work that our schools do! Business Horizons is a five-day innovation simulation bringing students (grades 9-12) of all experience levels from across the state together to gain a better sense of how their skills connect to the business world and the real world. Students are placed in teams, and they work together to solve a situation.

Due to wet field conditions in Rippey, tonight's (6/2/23) baseball game against Perry will now be played in Jefferson at Allensworth Field. JV starts at 5:15 with Varsity following at 7:30.
They did it! Congratulations to the 2023 IAHSEA SMITE state champions, the Greene County Rams! The Rams beat Iowa Falls Alden 2-0 this evening. WAY TO GO, RAMS!

The GCHS Esport SMITE team advances to the state championship! The Rams beat Roland Story 2-1 in the semifinals. They are scheduled to play against Iowa Falls later this evening.
Congrats, Rams! Go get that state championship!

The Middle School softball and baseball games vs Perry today have been canceled. The JV/V softball games with Glidden-Ralston are still on. Varsity will play first at 5:30, followed by the JV.
The Greene County High School Esports team is competing in the SMITE state playoffs today. The team was escorted out of town by the police department this morning as they headed to Des Moines. The Rams had their first match against West Delaware and won 2-0 to advance to the semifinals. They will be playing against the winner of the Roland Story/Belmond Klemme match which will conclude later this morning. Currently, the state matches have not been streamed, but that may change in the upcoming rounds. Stay tuned for that information when it's available.
